- nods - I think it’s related to the fact that you’re immune to psychic moves, as well. I wouldn’t think you’d have too much to worry about when it comes to psychics, but I can understand how some of us make a pretty intimidating appearance! My sister, Endive, - she works as a reporter but she likes to test people by battling them, and man she can be scary! I-I’m pretty weak myself, though I do know a few tricks. He chuckled a bit when he admitted to being weak- Yeah I’m pretty weak myself.. Where I grew up you either had to be a ‘fighter’ or a ‘pet’. Of course these words weren’t literal just, fighters got to travel and explore while pets stayed on the ranch. I ended up being a fighter which the name in itself is ironic for my person…

Oh, he did? It might still work, then - if he’s confident in his abilities I’m sure there’s no reason to doubt him, and I hope things work out with him helping you! Psychic powers are odd like that - they vary, and can be unpredictable and specific to the person, because everyone thinks a little differently!
- he looks aside at the mention of fighters - I, um, I hope being a ‘fighter’ wasn’t bad for you, that they didn’t force you to do anything uncomfortable. I- I don’t like to think about the word ‘fighting’ much… -looks like he’s about to say something else but shakes his head -
Hm~ Well, I can show you if you have a string or scarf of some sort… afraid I don’t keep one on me at all times. Should probably start doing that.

-smiles a little then glances at the ground- Th-thanks.. I have a friend who calls me Ringo too but it’s not something I prefer… -he listened closely and frowned a little. psychic types are complex creatures aren’t they- I see um.. you aren’t like, reading my inner most thoughts are you?
Oh, no, I can’t do that at all. And I wouldn’t even if I could, it’s a terrible invasion of a person’s privacy! I’m - not sure about other psychics, but I pick up emotions more than anything, and even then, I don’t feel them as strongly as… the average gardevoir. And sometimes I can hear thoughts that others try to transmit to me - it actually can allow me to hold a mental conversation with someone.
I’m afraid I can’t really do any of that with a dark-type pokemon, though. There’s just… some kind of hazy barrier in the way, subconsciously shutting us out.
Last I checked Dark types were powerful against Psychics -scratches the back of his head a bit- still interesting though. my roommate was turned into a psychic type before. He could do all sorts of crazy shit with his mind and it was kinda scary. Though like, brain talking, that sounds pretty cool…

Oh, no, forgive me for not introducing myself. My name is Basil. Sorry if I sound a little awkward; I’m not very used to using my voice - I often communicate telepathically but I struggle with it when it comes to dark-types I’m afraid!
Dark type? -Tio looked rather confused for a moment. there someone goes again calling him a dark type. he shrugged it off for now, not wanting to come off as a basketcase to the stranger already- I see. well it’s nice to meet you Basil. you can call me Tio.

- as he’s used to understanding the emotions immediately, the umbreon’s expression is a little hard to interpret -
I - um - I’m not confusing you am I? I’m a psychic, and I usually speak to people by transmitting my words into the surface of their mind, rather than speaking like I am now - and there’s something about the way our mental energy works that it has trouble getting through to certain pokemon, usually ones that are classified as dark types. That’s all I meant!

As for the costume, I- well, I dress like this most of the time! I just enjoy clothes like these. I do participate in a lot of contests and stage shows, though, and I have some other outfits I like to wear as well from time to time!
